COSTA RICA: LAND USE ISSUES IN RAINFOREST CONSERVATION

Summer 2019 - I spent one month in Costa Rica with 19 students, three professors, a guide and a driver. Each student presented on a species and social topic native to the country, and we did group projects regarding climate change in different regions of the country. My group proposed implementing hybrid and electric national public bus system.

STRAWBERRY POISON DART FROG
Throughout the trip, each student had to become an expert on one living species and one social issue relevant in Costa Rica. When we saw the species or encountered the social issue, the student had to give their presentation to the rest of us. For my species, I chose the strawberry poison dart frog because of how beautiful I found it. We ended up seeing several and I was surprised at how small they were. Our final comprehensive species list was hundreds long. Below are my notebook pages with my presentation notes.

FILM + IPHONE GALLERY
The majority of my film was water damaged, but some photos persevered. Not pictures: severe sun burns, food poisoning, passport theft!
